A built-in that will not hold temperature is nearly always one of four things, and only one of them is expensive. The order below is the order they get checked in, because the cheap causes are also the common ones.

A condenser packed with dust
The most common finding in this valley by a wide margin. Two seasons of blowing dust in the coil and the unit cannot reject heat into a kitchen that is already warm, so it runs and runs and the fresh-food side creeps up first.

The evaporator fan on the fresh-food circuit
The signature of a dual-evaporator built-in: the freezer stays rock hard while the refrigerator sits near fifty. Cold is being made and not moved. Usually a fan motor, sometimes ice blocking the blade.

A drain trough frozen shut
Water collecting under the crisper drawers, or a thin sheet of ice on the floor of the compartment. The defrost water has nowhere to go and backs up into the box.

A soft door seal or a sagging hinge
If the door no longer pulls itself shut against the vacuum, the box is drawing in 100-degree air all day. It looks like a refrigeration fault and it is a gasket.
